Publisher's midnight blue cloth with elaborate foliate border and armorial motif in gilt to upper and in blind to lower board; gilt titles and decoration to spine. Pale primrose yellow endpapers with armorial bookplate of Robert Stirling Newall to front past-edown and retailer's ticket to rear paste-down. Cover cloth lightly rubbed and bumped to edges and lower front joint just starting but clean and bright. A little marginal annotation; handwritten sunrise and sunset tables tipped in. Small stains to ffep; light foxing to prelims and plates. Comprehensive study which includes observations on the landnuse, culture and history of the island as well as detailed notes on the wind, clouds, hygrometricity and other meteorological conditions.
