First Rider edition (stated ninth edition on title-page). Duodecimo, pp., viii, 404, 4 of publisher’s advertisements. Publisher’s original crimson cloth, Art-Nouveau design stamped in blind to spine and upper board, titled in gilt to spine. Spine slightly sunned, spots of fading to upper board, a spot of soiling to lower board, corners very slightly rubbed, spine a little cocked but binding strong and rather square. Toning to edges of text-block, a few spots to prelims but otherwise clean. A very good copy.
An early edition of
Dracula, for which the text was entirely reset. Rider & Son were Stoker’s publisher of choice for reprints of
