Flannery O’Connor (1926-1964) was an American novelist and short story writer in the Southern Gothic tradition. O’Connor’s darkly comic works were influenced by Faulkner, Poe, Joyce, and Dostoevsky. This collection of short stories was written in the decade before her death and published posthumously.
