Eight original borderless press photographs for the seminal 1955 Ealing Comedy. All eight with British press stamps and typed layout slips to the verso. The curtain call of the famous "Ealing Comedies" the Ladykillers was the last major masterpiece produced by the iconic Ealing Studios before the studio was sold to the BBC. Darkly macabre the film was deeply subversive at the time and satirised Britain’s inability to move beyond its Empire past. William Rose famously purportedly dreamt the whole film and simply sat down wrote out the script from memory. £125.00
