Corners light rubbed, a few minor spots but cloth and gilt otherwise bright; bindings strong and square. Occasional spots to contents but otherwise clean and free of annotations or inscriptions. A bright, attractive set. A triple-decker set of Dumas’ classic globetrotting tale of adventure and deception. The Byronic hero Edmund Dantes has long since passed into popular culture as the betrayed protagonist possessed by his desire for vengeance. The illustrator, Edmund H.
