Publisher’s original tea-green cloth, stamped in elaborate gilt, pink, green, violet, and lavender design to spine and upper board; top edge gilt; white end-papers. Contemporary gift inscription in ink to front free end-paper. Minor shelf-wear to corners; spine-tips softened and a touch rubbed; pink on spine slightly faded; a few marks to lower board; otherwise externally bright and sharp, the upper board particularly so. Light scattered foxing throughout. A very good copy. A superbly presented guide to home gardening. The all-over gilt embossing to the binding is a particularly elaborate example of decorated publisher’s cloth. £150.00
