Top edge a little dusty and a very few spots to foredge otherwise a clean bright copy. Jacket nicked & creased to edge and very lightly toned to white background; brown paper reinforcement strips to verso edge (invisible when jacket is on book). Traces the history of bookbinding from its beginnings to the end of the sixteenth century, through detailed consideration of important examples in the world-renowned Pierpont Morgan Library.
