Publishers’ maroon cloth with gilt titles to spine and elaborate elephants and peacocks design in gilt to upper board. Repairs to spine head and tail; cover cloth soiled particularly to spine with minor wear to corners. Later endpapers. Half-title and page edges toned; scattered light foxing. Annotation in pencil to final stanza (correcting the translation). “Printed from the Second Edition by Kind Permission of Messrs Macmillan & Co” to verso title page. This edition has the full complement of 20 exquisite plates by Dulac (some later editions having only 12). A very good copy. £150.00
