FIRST EDITION. Quarto. pp. xii, 128. Vignette to title-page, 60 full-page illustrations of which 2 in colour including frontispiece, and 50 further illustrations within text. Publishers’ maroon buckram with gilt titles to spine and upper board and gilt motif to upper board. Top edge gilt; others uncut. Spine lightly sunned with creasing at tips; corners rubbed. Scattered light foxing, a little heavier to front endpapers. No annotation or inscriptions. A very good copy.
 
Comprehensive work on the wooden chests and cupboards of Britain and France, many of which survive in churches and museums. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
