Two of Dickson’s only three published works On Alnmouth gathered together in a single volume and sequentially paginated, with original paper wrappers and errata slip for “Four Chapters” bound-in. Quarto, pp. [26]; [27]-69. Decorative head- and tail- pieces to “Four Chapters” Later brown half calf with gilt titles to spine and gilt fillets, marbled paper-covered boards and matching marbled endpapers. Binding Fine. A little very light foxing to “Four Chapters” and both wrappers surface soiled, with minor corner loss to upper cover and archival tape repair to lower cover of “Another Chapter”. Overall a near fine copy.
 
Very scarce. The “Four Chapters” comprise: General Situation and Aspect; The Manor of Alnmouth and its owners; The Church of Alnmouth; Shewing that Alnmouth was the Place where Cuthbert was Chosen a Bishop, while Chapter V in “Another Chapter” covers the chapelry in its past and present state.
