Publishers’ royal blue finely pebbled cloth with red titles to spine and upper board’ top edge stained red, others uncut; in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket also by St John. Very slight central crease to spine; spine tips and corners a little rubbed, and lower board bruised central top edge with associated unobtrusive stain. Small mark to front endpapers (where bookseller’s ticket has been removed?) otherwise contents clean and crisp, with a little annotation in pencil to catalogue. 2 cm closed tear to jacket at lower front joint and a few minor nicks & creases, with very slight loss to edge at folds. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket.
The nineteenth story in the popular Tarzan series, originally published in six parts as “Tarzan and the Immortal Men” in the Blue Book Magazine from 1935-6, in which Tarzan’s wife Jane makes her final appearance, when the hero rescues her from a tribe who have discovered the secret of eternal youth.
