Bound in publisher's navy blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and gilt-stamped sailing ship motif to upper board. Housed in maroon pebbled leatherette slipcase. A very good book in a good slipcase. A touch of soiling to book spine. Light toning to end-papers, with previous owner’s name written neatly to front free end-paper. Contents clean, crisp and bright. Slipcase leatherette rippled, and rather worn with some very minor loss to corners. The story of marine artist Arthur Briscoe's life and work including reproductions of all his etchings and dry-points, together with many of his oil and water-colour paintings, pages from his sketch books and several photographs, accompanied by commentary on many of the pictures. £125.00
