Publisher’s dark teal cloth on bevelled boards, gilt titles to upper board and spine. Boards lightly rubbed with minor wear to spine-tips. Two small neat historic ownership inscriptions, in pencil and ink to paste-downs, some light scattered foxing throughout. A Very Good copy.
Scarce work written as memorial for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Eyemouth fishing disaster, referred to by locals as “Black Friday”, in which 189 men lost their lives. Also includes chapters on Smugglers’ Architecture, Scottish Fisher Lassies, and “An Interesting Old Churchyard”.
