Full excavation report from the important campaign of work carried out at Binchester in Durham in the late 1970s and 1980s by Iain Ferris and Rik Jones including analysis of these excavations as well as substantial wider contextual material about the fort and the history of research there. Scarce. Former owner Paul Bidwell O.B.E. was responsible for the excavation of Vindolanda, and the reconstruction of Segedunum on Hadrian’s Wall, and remains one of the most respected archaeologists of his generation.
