Publishers’ green cloth with gilt titles and decoration to spine and upper board. Cover cloth very lightly rubbed to edge, with minor creasing at spine tips. Free endpapers toned otherwise contents clean and bright, with no annotation or inscriptions. A Near Fine copy.
 
Standard history of the parish from Roman times, subject matter includes coal mining, chemical and industrial history and local government, as well as biographical notes on the local gentry and notable characters of local interest. Scarce.
