Publishers’ green cloth with bevelled boards, and gilt titles to spine and upper board. Boards scuffed with light wear to spine tips and corners; a slightly shaken copy. Lacking plan of Shap Abbey. Gift inscription from the author in ink to front paste-down, dated the year after publication. A very good copy.
Scarce title on the history of Shap in Cumbria, dedicated to the Lord of the Manor, Hugh Cecil Earl of Lonsdale.
