First thus. Octavo, pp., 53, [1], Bible printed in unpaginated double columns. Decorative initial letters throughout and pictorial title-page to Bible. Publishers’ brown cloth with gilt titles to spine and decoration in gilt to upper and in blind to lower board. Spine tips and corners very slightly rubbed; small bump to fore-edge of lower board. Endpapers lightly foxed, with printed bookplate to front paste-down and ownership inscription in ink to title-page, dated in year of publication. A near fine copy. A replica of the 1611 original, rather than a facsimile, as the difficult to read gothic script of the original is here replaced with regular Roman letters, otherwise retaining the layout and content. Printed on thin onion-skin “Bible Paper”. £125.00
