Bound in the original navy blue cloth with gilt spine titles. With the original unclipped printed dust-jackets. Foxing to endpapers and text block edges, otherwise clean and free from inscriptions or annotations. Volume I dust-jacket foxed with minor wear, closed tears and chips. Volume II dustjacket foxed, with loss to spine tips and more substantial loss across the top edge of upper panel. A very good set in good dust-jackets.
 
Comprising 274 songs and ballads with 968 tunes collected by Cecil J Sharp. Chosen as representative of the traditional songs taken to America by British immigrants. Heavy two volume set which will require an additional contribution towards postage for overseas delivery.
