FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. 383, [1]. Frontispiece portrait of Keir Hardy and 27 further images to 14 plates. Full red morocco finely bound by Sangorski and Sutcliff, with 5 raised bands, gilt titles to spine and double gilt fillet to boards; all edges gilt. Gilt dentelles and marbled endpapers. Spine lightly sunned and boards a little spotted. Fountain pen ink ownership inscription to first blank; two paragraphs marked with an ink line, and a note of the total sum of damages and legal costs paid in the Beasley strike case; a little light foxing to text-block edge. A very good copy.
 
Foreword by Clement Attlee. Commemorating 50 years since the Party was founded in 1900, and describing the great Labour victory of 1945.
