FIRST EDITION THUS. Slim quarto, pp. 272; 312. Each with frontispiece and colour cartoon strip illustrations throughout. Publisher’s tan leather with colour artwork to upper board. Gilt titles & blind stamped motifs to spine & upper board. Pictorial endpapers & silk place-holder ribbon. Both volumes exceptionally clean and appear unread, with no annotations or inscriptions. Near fine.
Based on the classic pulp character Conan the Barbarian created by Robert E. Howard, with 25 stories over two volumes, both with forewords by Roy Thomas. Conan was created by Stan Lee & Roy Thomas in the early 1970s, with the first 21 stories included in these handsome volumes.
