Housed in a matching electric blue cloth-covered hinged clamshell box, with gilt titles and motifs to spine and upper face. Octavo, softcover stitched pamphlet “Dreams of Enchantment” by Marina Warner, pp., 15 to pocket inside upper cover of case. An exceptionally clean and neat copy with no annotations or inscriptions, which appears unread. A fine book and pamphlet, in like clamshell box. Comprising 15 stories from the Brothers Grimm, which follows the text of the 1925 first edition, with Kay Nielsen’s enchanting illustrations. The matching pamphlet is an essay by Marina Warner, called “Dreams of Enchantment”, exploring Nielsen’s Grimm illustrations.
