The third novel by iconic modernist author, Virginia Woolf, To the Lighthouse tells of three powerfully charged vision through the eyes of the Ramsay family, living in a house off the coast of Scotland. The novel contains little dialogue and action, instead weaving narrative through the thoughts and observations of the characters. In 2005, TIME Magazine named it as one of the best one hundred English-language novels since 1923.
