“College Note Book” exercise book approximately 23 cm x 17 cm with spiral binding, almost completely full of contemporary press clippings, programmes, game match menus and other sporting ephemera. The main focus is Irish Rugby from 1960 to 1961, including many photographic images. Ownership inscription to upper cover and small stain to lower cover. Contents mounted onto leaves with browned adhesive strips, many now detached and loosely inserted; some clippings are folded to fit the album. With hand written notes and captions. A fascinating collection of great interest to Rugby fans, including Springboks and All Blacks matches and tours of Ireland by International teams. Compiled by an Irish schoolboy, many of the items were collected in person at Belfast and Dublin matches. Highlights include the programme for the 1961 game Ireland v. England at Lansdowne Road in which Ireland were victorious, and the Ulster Versus South Africa game in January 1961 at Ravenhill, Belfast which was won by the Springboks. £95.00
