Publishers’ brown and white pictorial wraps based upon the original “Buildings of England” paperback design by Hans Schmoller, in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket based upon the new editions of the series. Clean and crisp near fine paperback with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket front flap creased at tip of upper corner, and top edge lightly creased.
 
A celebration of the incomparable series on the architecture of the UK created by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner, covering the built environment from prehistoric times onwards. The series, arranged by county gazetteer and still updated regularly today, is funded by the Buildings Books Trust and this volume includes a catalogue of the series up to publication, together with an Appreciation of Sir Nikolaus Pevsner by John Newman which was originally published in “The Best Buildings of England” in 1986.
