First thus: triple signed limited edition: number 144 of 750 copies only. Large octavo, pp., xv, [1], 287, [1]; vii, [1], 280; vii, [1], 282; vii, [1], 281, [1]. With 20 plates by Sam Weber including frontispiece and double-page spread to each volume. Publishers’ black cloth bindings, with pictorial cloth in purple and yellow to upper boards blocked in colour, and metallic red titles to spine. All edges stained black. Housed in black cloth-covered slipcase with titles in gilt and sword and rose motifs in gilt to side faces. Volumes all clean and bright, with printed Limitation Plate to first blank Vol I signed by Gene Wolf, Neil Gaiman and Sam Weber. Slipcase very slightly surface scuffed. A fine set in near fine slipcase. Highly regarded set of novels set in a bleak and distant future, by the American fantasy and science fiction author Gene Wolf (1931-2019), with Introduction by Neil Gaiman.
