First published in 1929 in the USA by Ives Washburn, Kenyon’s book is a serious examination of Witchcraft in the modern era in Western countries. Chapter headings include ’the Nature-cult’, ‘Witches' Familiars’, ‘The Black Mass’, ‘The Sex-Ritual’, ‘Love Charms’ and ‘How to Cast a Spell’. The extensive bibliography to the rear of the book list around 100 titles on witchcraft. Theda Kenyon (1894-1997) was an American writer and lecturer and whilst her first name is an anagram of "death" she lived to be over 100 years old. Scarce.
