Tall octavo, pp. [2], 228, 6, [1]. Bound in late 19th century maroon quarter sheep and brown cloth over boards, gilt fillet parallel to spine, gilt ornaments and titles to spine. Boards detached and rubbed to edges, a third of spine remaining, wanting front flyleaf. Text-block secure and clean save light tanning to prelims. Secure by archival cloth strips. A fair copy. Printed for private circulation, this is John Stansfeld’s personal copy with his armourial bookplate to the front paste-down. Scarce. £65.00
