Full polished calf with 5 raised bands, gilt titles to black label to spine and gilt decoration to compartments; double gilt fillet border to boards and all edges marbled, and marbled endpapers. Boards lightly scuffed with wear to corners; gilt to spine a little rubbed. Hinges cracked but firmly holding; light foxing throughout, a little heavier to later leaves; no annotation or inscriptions. A very good copy. Historical novel loosely based upon the life of the Bard and his contemporaries, couched in appropriately archaic language. £125.00
