Limited edition of 750 copies only, of which this is number 611. Duodecimo, pp., 22, complete with eight wood-engraved plates by Gwenda Morgan. Ownership inscription in contemporary hand and book label to front paste-down. Set in Caslon Old-Face type on mould-made paper. Original publisher’s quarter-blue buckram over marbled-paper boards, gilt titles to spine, top edge gilt, other edges uncut. Upper board a little faded; with a touch of light foxing to contents. Final leaf unevenly trimmed resulting in loss which does not affect text. Very good. A fine press edition of Gray’s poetic essay, printed in a face sympathetic to the eighteenth-century original. £100.00
