Sutclyfe of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire, to front free endpaper. Sunning to spine, and lightly to edges of boards; scrapes and moderate shelf wear to binding, particularly affecting lower board; very slight loss to spine-tips. Contents clean and slightly evenly toned. Generally a very good copy. A rare and comprehensive genealogy of the Listers and Lysters. Includes many portraits of Listers/Lysters from the 16th to the 19th centuries, family trees, coats of arms, and biographies. Anne Lister of Halifax (1791-1840), now known as a gender non-conforming lesbian diarist, is featured briefly on page 281. One of only 250 copies printed. £350.00
