Gift stamp to title page, contents otherwise clean, bright and without visible flaws or imperfections. A Very Good copy in Near-fine binding and jacket, and Good slipcase.
Originally published in 1994 by German facsimilist Akademische Druk und Verlagsanstalt, as number 3 in their ‘Glanzlichter der Brucknurst’ series. The original manuscript, produced in 1477, was a dramatic and revolutionary illuminated volume, one of the finest works of Flemish illumination. This volume was produced from the only copy of the manuscript, Codex Vindobonensis 1857, at the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Vienna.
