Publisher’s original blue quarter-cloth, on blue paper-covered boards; titles printed to upper board and gilt to spine. Corners bumped and rubbed, very light spots of soiling to edges of boards, minor shelf-wear to spine-tips, tear approximately 4cm to cloth covering lower joint, but holding firm. Occasional light foxing and toning to a small number of leaves, but contents otherwise clean and bright. A very good copy. Comprehensive history of the use of incense in religion including pre-Christian use, and rules for censing from various rites in the Christian tradition. Scarce, particularly so in the original cloth. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery. £250.00
