This book attempts to persuade the reader that there are dark forces plaguing the world, in the form of UFOs, aliens and men-in-black. In the foreward by Colin Wilson he acknowledges that most sceptical scientific types would dismiss such claims as crank work for the lunatic fringe. However the book asks questions many would disregard and seeks to evidence its claims with case studies, on folklore, history, occult studies, literature, and theosophy to present a thesis on the "Cosmic Battleground" and the concept of "watchers" throughout human history.
