First Edition. Quarto, pp., xi, [1], [191, [1]. Complete with 13 albumen photographic prints laid on to plates, with tissue guards, and a facsimile of Wordsworth’s manuscript. Bound by Wesley’s and Co., London in the publisher’s mauve cloth over bevelled boards, heavily stamped in gilt to boards and spine. All edges gilt. Binders ticket to rear paste-down. Cover designed by John Leighton (1822-1912), with his initials at base of central roundels of both boards. Cloth spine-sunned, rubbed to spine-tips, clean, with gilt bright. Contents firm and secure, with all photographs and tissue guards present, some light sporadic foxing, with ink ownership inscription to front pastedown else clean.
