Grace Watt (1908-1986) was an English ornithologist and naturalist best known for studying wildlife on the Farne Islands. Located between Seahouses and Holy Island on the Northumberland coast, the Farne Islands are one of Britain's most famous bird sanctuaries, and important breeding site for the grey seal. The book provides a summary of the history, scenery, climate and wildlife of the islands, and is largely devoted to the sea birds of the area.
