Housed in a light blue slipcase with a mermaid motif and orange titles to front panel. An attractive set of near fine books, in a near fine slipcase. Widely regarded as Britain’s greatest travel writer, Fermor wrote extensively of his adventures. ‘Mani’ and ‘Roumeli’ were his fourth and fifth works respectively, charting his journey on foot and mule around Greece with his future wife, Joan Monsell, who provided photography for both works. Fermor was a leading figure in the Cretan Resistance of the Second World War, and friend of James Bond author, Ian Fleming. £95.00
