The cult classic counter-culture novel by American journalist Hunter S. Thompson. A semi-autobiographical novel, written in gonzo journalism style, ‘Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas’ draws on two trips to Las Vegas Thompson took with the attorney Oscar Zeta Acosta. Known for its in-depth description of drug use and the culture of the 1960s, the book was widely regarded as unfilmable. It was eventually made into a film of the same name in 1998, starring Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro.
