Contemporary ownership inscription to front free-endpaper, stamp of the Edinburgh Theosophical Library in blind to half-title. Spine sunned, library call-mark stickers to spine covered with tape; slight fading to edges of lower board, top edge dusty. Upper hinge cracked but still holding well, contents clean and bright. A good copy. A collection of astrological stories by Bessie Leo, the wife of Alan Leo ‘the first modern astrologer’. Overlooked on account of her gender, Bessie was an accomplished astrologer in her own right, and collaborated with her husband on his attempts to reintroduce astrology to a twentieth-century audience.
