Number 124 in a limited edition of 200 copies only. Octavo, pp., [6] blank, [2] prelims, 94, [2] colophon and blank, plus three full-page drawings by Reginald Savage under the care of C. R. Ashbee at the Essex House Press, as called for. Quarter cloth over Holland-backed boards. Titles to paper labels on spine and upper board. All edges uncut, many gatherings unopened. Gift inscription of C. R. Ashbee “To Lucia Crighton from C.R.A in appreciation of her visit & the profundity of her worldly wisdom OCT 1906” to front free-enpdaper. Boards very slightly bowed, corners rubbed, light soiling and toning to boards. Contents clean and bright. Overall, a very good copy.
 
A cautionary and humorous tale in a charming fine press edition. Miss Kilmansegg is a spoilt banker’s daughter who insists on having an artificial limb made of gold. Boldly inscribed by the printer, with warm words to a friend.
