Hardcover octavo, pp., 347, plus five black-and-white plates illustrated by the author’s son, John Coleman Burroughs. Original pictorial jacket. Publisher’s royal-blue pebbled cloth, lettering in red to spine and upper board in the iconic ERB Inc. style. Pictorial end-papers. Top edge dyed red, fore-edge untrimmed. Jacket carefully repaired with tape to verso of each panel, very light soiling to jacket, slight shelf-wear to tips of spine-panel. Minor shelf-wear to spine-tips and edges of boards. Overall, a near-fine copy in good jacket.
