Publisher’s green cloth, rhea hunt vignette in gilt to upper board, titled and priced in gilt to spine. A few minor scuffs to boards, corners rubbed with further slight shelf-wear to extremities, joints rubbed, with slight tear to head of lower joint. Contents slightly toned but clean and neat. A very good copy. Darwin’s germinal journal of his voyage on the Beagle first appeared in 1839. £85.00
