Gift inscription of one George Moore M. D. dated 1900 to half-title. Cloth rubbed to corners with wear to spine-tips. Late nineteenth century reprint (the first edition was published in 1886) of the genre-defining psychological gothic horror, in the original cloth, from the Theosophical Society library in Stevenson’s home city of Edinburgh.
