Uniformly bound in soft olive calf, titled in gilt to spine, owl vignette in gilt to upper board within blind double-rule border. Spines faded to brown, top edges dull, very slight shelf-wear to spine-tips. Contents clean and bright, a very attractive set. The four frontispieces are taken from the celebrated Beardsley edition of Morte D’Arthur, first published between 1893 and 1894. His first substantial commission, it was the book that instantiated Beardsley as an artist, and which first demonstrated his inimitable style. £95.00
