Prize binding by Hugh Rees in full polished flame calf; spine on five bands, ornaments and rolls in gilt to compartments, titled in gilt to black morocco spine label; lettered in gilt to upper board within gilt double-fillet border; gilt rolls to board-edges and in blind to turn-ins; all edges marbled, marbled end-papers. Presentation plate to one ‘Norman Rice’, gift of College of the Sacred Heart, Wimbledon, dated 1911. Slight rubbing to upper joint, top edge a little dusty. Contents clean and bright. A near-fine copy.
