Short tape repair to verso of lower flap, long tear to upper internal flap hinge, but still holding, tear to hinge of spine panel and loss to foot, light soiling. Covers clean and rather crisp. Even toning to contents, as usual. A very good copy in fair unclipped jacket. The semi-autobiographical novel of Robert Noonan, writing as Robert Tressell. Widely considered a classic of working class literature, all versions prior to 1955 are heavily abridged and with a different ending to Tressell’s original manuscript.
