Stated second edition, the first published in 1916. Octavo, pp., 200, plus 32 full-page photographic plates, as called for. Collated and complete. Publisher’s original navy blue cloth, titled in gilt to spine, borders in blind to boards. Corners bumped, shelf-wear to extremities, light cup-rings to upper board. Contents lightly toned but clean and neat. A very good copy. A scarce esoteric work of alternative medicine by a largely forgotten but influential practitioner of manual therapy. The author was a vegetarian, vitalist and advocate of naturopathic medicine who believed all diseases could be cured by dietary changes.
