First Edition thus. Octavo, pp., 146. Illustrated throughout, with charming drawings by Ernest H. Shepard, for the first time here in full colour. Publisher’s navy blue cloth, with gilt titles to spine and gilt-stamped Christopher Robin and Pooh vignette to upper board. Pictorial colour map end-papers also by Shepard. Pictorial cream dust-jacket with colour illustrations. Some rubbing to the spine tips, corners, and lower edges. Slightest foxing to the text-block edges, contents are clean and bright, free from any annotations or markings. The dust-jacket has some foxing to the front and rear flaps, a small closed tear to the tail-edge of the lower panel and a very small chip to the spine tail. Overall a clean and bright copy. Milne’s classic story following the adventures of Pooh in the Hundred Acre Wood, with his companions and Christopher Robin. The first book in the series of four.
