Near fine dust-jacket with a small price sticker to inner flap, and a tiny spot of soiling to lower flap.
 
The first installment in the Cadfael Chronicles. Ellis Peters is the pseudoynm of Edith Mary Pageter (1913-1995). Peters/Pageter was prolific in both guises, but it was the Cadfael Chronicles that secured her place in the canon of historical mystery.
