Square of plain paper pasted to front pastedown (approx 5 inches by 3 1/2) presumably to conceal an inscription; name & date pencilled to ffep otherwise very clean internally. Light foxing & toning to endpapers; a slightly shaken copy with weak inner front hinge. Cover cloth rubbed to edge with minor wear to spine tips and corners. Scarce in hardcover.
