Housed in grey cloth-covered slipcase. Spine lightly sunned otherwise a fine copy; a little light fingermarking to slipcase, also near-fine. Cookson (1906-98) was the best-selling author of her generation and the most borrowed author from public libraries in the UK during the latter years of the twentieth century; she was best known for gritty historical novels set in her native north-east England. This volume is the sequel to "The Ingenious Beilbys" and gives further insights into the artistic glass producing dynasty of Newcastle upon Tyne.
